Problems: The lack of a centralized platform for Iranian music producers to access quality educational material and resources like loops and music packages.
Challenges: Fragmented market, piracy issues, and a diverse target audience with varying technical skills.
Solution: A one-stop shop website that includes selected educational videos and high-quality music loops and packages tailored to the Iranian music market.
Tools: Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Jira, InVision
Teams Engaged: UI Designers, Music Producers, Content Creators
My Role: Lead UX/UI Designer, Co-Founder
Contribution: I championed a user-focused design ethos. I crafted personas, optimized information architecture through card sorting, and ran A/B tests for design refinement. High-fidelity prototypes were created using Figma, serving as design blueprints. Leading design sprints, I ensured efficient, data-driven decision-making, resulting in an engaging and intuitive user experience.
Target Users: Novice to Professional Music Producers in Iran
Research: Created detailed user personas, like Amir, to represent key user segments, using data gathered from Google Analytics and user interviews. These personas informed the design process, including feature prioritization and user flow optimization. For usability tests, Lookback.io was used to remotely observe users as they interacted with high-fidelity prototypes. Focus groups were organized to understand local cultural nuances, helping tailor the user experience. Piracy concerns were addressed through secure data storage solutions and trusted payment gateways.
Ideation: Simple navigation, easy access to search bar, quick preview of training content, and powerful search functionality. Also, offering free educational products at the beginning, to influence the user's consideration stage.
Outcome: User-friendly, stable, secure, culturally attuned platform with anti-piracy features. An online music composition solution was also added to encourage collaboration and engagement.
Usability Testing: Conducted in-depth remote usability tests, simulating real-world scenarios such as purchasing a music loop package and navigating through tutorial lessons. Tests were done using Lookback.io, where I observed users in real time, identifying usability issues and opportunities for improvement. Additionally, A/B tests were integrated into the prototyping phase, allowing me to empirically compare different design solutions and make data-driven decisions for optimal user experience.
Collaboration: Weekly stand-up meetings with developers and content creators in an agile environment ensured the seamless transition from design to development.
Metrics of Success: By an iterative approach, we achieved a 30% increase in user engagement, 25% growth in sales, a 20% decrease in bounce rate, and a notable improvement in conversion rates within the first three months.
Impact and results: Established PersianLoop as a go-to platform in Iran for music production resources, setting a new industry standard and significantly reducing piracy.
